Dining Services Information

We use an automated Point Of Sale (POS) lunch system in the Plymouth Public Schools. Each student has a lunch account. This system allows students to “bank” money in their account. Money in this account may only be used for lunch and ala carte items. Free and Reduced lunch information is automatically in the POS system. A new free/reduced application needs to be submitted every year. Applications are available from each school, or you may print an application. All account information is confidential, and is only accessible to cafeteria staff.

There are two different ways to put money in a student’s account.

1. www.EZSchoolPay.com is a service available to parents and guardians that would like to make payments online, or just check their child’s account balance. A student ID number is required to set up this service. You may contact the school office or cafeteria manager for this information.

2. Sending payment with student. You may send a check or cash. Please make checks payable to the Plymouth School Lunch ProgramThe school office and the cafeteria have pre-printed envelopes that are available for sending in payments. You may also use a standard white envelope to send in lunch payments.

Please include in a sealed envelope:

  • Student’s First and Last Name
  • Amount of Money Enclosed
  • Cash or Check (please include check number)

Classroom teachers will collect envelopes each morning and forward them to the cafeteria. The cafeteria staff will then credit the students’ accounts. Cash will only be accepted during lunch service for a la carte items. When lunch is purchased, the cost of the meal will be deducted from the student’s account. When your child’s account is running low and it is time for another payment, your child will be given an envelope with amount left in his/her account indicated in the corner of the envelope. Students may ask any time for balance information. If you would like your child to use his/her account for MEALS ONLY, please indicate this on the payment envelope. Once you change your child’s account to MEALS ONLY, it will stay that way until further notice.

Any a la carte will not be allowed for purchase if a student owes money.

Daily we offer bottled water, juice, fresh fruit, and ice cream using State of Connecticut Healthy Snacks Guidelines. These items are $1.00-$2.00.

Money Left in an account at the end of the school year will stay in your child’s account for the following school year.

We look forward to serving you and your children.

Free Summer Meals

The USDA requires ALL School Nutrition Sponsors to conduct Summer Meals Outreach

Schools communicate regularly and effectively with the families of children in their community.  You can help reach out and connect these families with Summer Meals before the school year ends and continue to make a difference in the lives of your students all summer long.  It is required that every school participating in the National School Lunch Program provide information to their community on the availability of Summer Meals, even if they are not a sponsor or site for Summer Meals.

Childhood food insecurity remains at unacceptable levels across the country and children are most acutely at risk in the summer when they do not have access to school meals.  There were 646 sites in the summer of 2015 across Connecticut offering free meals to children 18 years and younger, yet only 1 out of 4 of CT’s children who qualify for free or reduced meals are being reached.

EZSchoolPay

The Plymouth Public School District is now offering a new internet service to help parents better manage their child's school meal account. In addition to checking their child's school meal balance online, parents may use their VISA or MasterCard to enter a payment to their child's Meal Tracker food service account. Online payments are automatically received into the school's Meal Tracker system within minutes. This service is available at www.EZSchoolPay.com Parents will be instructed to create an account and link their children to the account before entering a credit.

The Plymouth Public School District food service department strives to provide a balanced nutritional program for all children, meet USDA requirements, and provide support and options the the parents.
