Payment System and Procedures

Plymouth Food & Nutrition uses an Automated Point of Sale (POS) system. Each student has a lunch account and ID number. This system allows students to deposit money into their accounts, which can only be used for breakfast, lunch, and à la carte items. Free and Reduced Lunch information is integrated into the POS system. A new free/reduced application must be submitted annually, available at each school or by clicking the link. All account information remains confidential.

Ways to Add Funds

  1. Sending Payment with a Student:

    • Send a check or cash with your student. Make checks payable to "Plymouth School Lunch Program."

    • Include in a sealed envelope:

      • Student's First and Last Name

      • Amount of Money Enclosed

      • Cash or Check (include check number)

  2. Online Payment:

    • Visit www.EZSchoolPay.com to make payments online or check your child's balance.

    • A student ID number is required to set up the service. Contact the school office or the Cafeteria Team Lead for this information.

Classroom teachers collect envelopes each morning and forward them to the cafeteria. The Cafeteria Staff will credit the student's account. When breakfast, lunch, or à la carte options are purchased, the cost is deducted from the account. An email notification is sent when the balance falls below $0. If the account becomes negative, a weekly phone call and email with the balance will be sent. Timely payments to restore the account's balance are appreciated.

Account Management

  • Students can request their balance information at any time.

  • To restrict account usage to MEALS ONLY, specify this on the payment envelope or contact the Director of Foodservice. This setting remains until changed.

  • Students may only charge meals to their account if they have a negative balance.

À la Carte Options

Daily à la carte items include snacks, beverages, sides, and entrées. Offerings include:

  • Bottled Water $1.00

  • Juice $1.50

  • Sparkling Juice $1.50

  • Fresh Fruits & Vegetables $.75

  • Chips $1.00

  • Cookies $1.00

  • Rice Krispies $1.00

  • Ice Cream $1.00

  • Juice Slushies (High School level) $2.00

All snacks comply with the State of Connecticut Healthy Snacks Guidelines, and we proudly hold our Healthy Food Certification from the State. À la carte item prices range from $1.00 to $2.00. Any remaining funds in a student's account at the end of the school year will carry over to the next school year.
