The Plymouth Early Childhood Council (PECC) has received a grant from the State Department of Education and with additional support from the United Way of West Central Connecticut to help create a community-wide plan for Plymouth children (birth to eight) that encompasses: Early Care & Education, Social, Emotional, Behavioral, Physical, Health & Family Supports.
The committees are focusing on the following 2016-2017 goals:
Success Goal 1: All Plymouth children will be ready to learn by age 5 and succeeding in school by age 9
Success Goal 2: All Plymouth families will have access to affordable early education
Family Wellness Goal 1: All Plymouth children will be cavity free
Family Wellness Goal 2: All Plymouth children will have access to free health screening services

The Parent Leadership Training Institute of West Central Connecticut proudly accepted an Official Citation from the State of Connecticut General Assembly, introduced by Senator Henri Martin and Representative Whit Betts in recognition of five years of outstanding work for the parents and children of West Central Connecticut.
