We use an automated Point Of Sale (POS) lunch system in the Plymouth Public Schools. Each student has a lunch account. This system allows students to “bank” money in their account. Money in this account may only be used for lunch and ala carte items. Free and Reduced lunch information is automatically in the POS system. A new free/reduced application needs to be submitted every year. Applications are available from each school, or you may print an application. All account information is confidential, and is only accessible to cafeteria staff.

There are two different ways to put money in a student’s account.

1. www.EZSchoolPay.com is a service available to parents and guardians that would like to make payments online, or just check their child’s account balance. A student ID number is required to set up this service. You may contact the school office or cafeteria manager for this information.

2. Sending payment with student. You may send a check or cash. Please make checks payable to the Plymouth School Lunch Program. The school office and the cafeteria have pre-printed envelopes that are available for sending in payments. You may also use a standard white envelope to send in lunch payments.

Please include in a sealed envelope:

  • Student’s First and Last Name
  • Amount of Money Enclosed
  • Cash or Check (please include check number)

Classroom teachers will collect envelopes each morning and forward them to the cafeteria. The cafeteria staff will then credit the students’ accounts. Cash will only be accepted during lunch service for ala carte items. When lunch is purchased, the cost of the meal will be deducted from the student’s account. When your child’s account is running low and it is time for another payment, your child will be given an envelope with amount left in his/her account indicated in the corner of the envelope. Students may ask any time for balance information. If you would like your child to use his/her account for MEALS ONLY, please indicate this on the payment envelope. Once you change your child’s account to MEALS ONLY, it will stay that way until further notice.

If there is no money in your child’s account, he/she will receive an emergency lunch consisting of milk, fruit cup, and a cheese sandwich. Charging will not be allowed. Ice cream will not be allowed for purchase if a student owes money.

Parents may inquire about the balance of their child’s account by contacting the cafeteria manager. The Plymouth Center SchoolCafeteria Manager is Norma Tanguay. The cafeteria phone number is 283-1386.

Daily we offer bottled water, juice, fresh fruit, and ice cream using State of Connecticut Healthy Snacks Guidelines. These items are $.75-$1.00.

We encourage you to deposit money in your child’s account to help speed the amount of time spent waiting in line in the lunch room. Here are some payment examples:
